The Committee of Newbury Fringe Festival regret to announce that the Newbury Fringe Festival scheduled to take place on the 25 and 26 May will not go ahead due to a shortage of people willing to take responsibility for the wide range of activities and venues.
Requests from people to participate in all of the activities, music, dance and crafts have again been high, but without sufficient people this year to run the event, we need to cancel and try to expand the organizing committee.
The Committee are looking to review the event for 2009.
Those interested in shaping the future of the Festival, please attend a meeting at The Square Restaurant, Weavers Walk Newbury on Wednesday 9 April, 2008 at 7.30 pm.
