The Committee of Newbury Fringe Festival held a public meeting in April 2008. It was clear that they were unable to find appropriate venues for the Festival which met their safety management standards and aspirations for the Festival.
The committee decided therefore to formally wind up the group. The chairman thanked everyone involved for their time and participation in trying to develop a way forward for the Newbury Fringe Festival.
