4pm Rob Reynolds "sings the blues, like a downtrodden Mississippi Delta man at his church, or sat on the sidewalk of Beale Street". Yosaka. 4:40pm Mike Henson Mike is an accomplished singer-songwriter and performer, bringing his infectious mix of funky acoustic lead melodies and powerful vocal delivery to the acoustic stage. His very gifted side-kick, Chris Secker, will be appearing on bass. (Try getting these tunes out of you head!). 5:15pm Anna Neale Returning to the Fringe for a second year. Anna Neale's exceptional performances have attracted the attention of an increasing number of fans with her live, TV and radio performances. 5:40pm John Dredge John writes bittersweet songs of melodic depth with elegant tunes and sensitive, insightful lyrics, and sings in a plaintive and affecting style. 6pm Simon Scardinelli A welcome return for the guitarist, singer, writer and performer who has constantly bucked the trend, Scardanelli's songs combine gritty realism with soaring melody and quirky English eccentricity. Currently on tour promoting his new album HOBOHEMIA. 6:30pm Ben Owens |
7pm Mosaic Formed in May 2004 out of the Guildford area producing guitar led melodies and thought provoking lyrics. 7:20pm Aden Pearce Fringe regular Aden Pearce will present a strong acoustic set, lyrics sung with powerful style. Newbury-based Aden is clearly an incredibly talented guitarist, whizzing his fingers up and down the fretboard on his 12-string guitar. 7:45pm Dan Church Cousteau's ex drummer Dan Church has released his first debut album - Middle Class White Boy which smacks into the heart of flamboyant Pop/Rock. The title single recently appeared on the Midem emerging British Artists CD. 8:10pm Andy Stedman Andy is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, music promoter, writer and occasional compere. His main love however is writing and performing his music, and his work has been described as "tracing a line through a lineage of great English songwriters - Ray Davies, Damon Albarn, Elvis Costello and Paul Weller." americana-uk.com 8:35pm Kate Walsh Armed with a guitar and a bottle of Souther Comfort, Kate Walsh is one from the heart. A voice so pure and unaffected it leaves you breathless and suspended in a place that only she can take you to. |

The flag wavers perform all over Italy and this will be their first trip to England. So a first for The UK and Newbury. They regard this as an honour to be asked and look forward to meeting Newbury People and will be happy to chat with people attending the Fringe Festival. The Newbury Twin Town Association are pleased to be supporting the Newbury Fringe Festival and have flown the Gruppo Sbandietatori in to Newbury especially for this important event in the town's calendar. |

Berkshire Egg Crafters Admire the work of Fabergé? Then come along and see a work of art created from an egg. The Berkshire Egg Crafters are displaying real egg shells - goose, emu, ostrich - decorated in the style of Fabergé. RhythmWorks African drumming workshops. Join in with Graeme Goodwin and enjoy the rhythm of drumming with an authentic Djembe African drum. John Haigh Sculpture workshop This workshop returns by demand from the enthusiastic budding sculptors who once again wish to create a masterpiece to take home. Mike Cooper Karaoke for children! Folk Effects Folk music in a tent! Mosaic Celebrating diversity in and around Newbury - providing a fantastically varied programme of multicultural arts, music and dancing. Jane Body The photo workshop lead by photographer Jane Body with extracts from her photography beginners course she runs at Jewell's Farm where you can also see her work on show as part of the Open Studio Scheme. Fionnaghal Fionnaghal is a well known and experienced storyteller who has enchanted groups of adults and children alike at schools and festivals. Fionnaghal can be found in the demonstration tent between 11.30am and 12:45pm and then again between 2.00pm and 3:15pm. Charles Burns Traditional Victorian silhouette artist In the Open Studios tent demonstrating the skill and technique, using by-passers as models and making a collage of the silhouettes. Walk-up music Try a musical instrument for the first time, with professional musicians on hand to give guidance and assistance. An opportunity for everyone to unleash that latent talent. Open Studios Meet some of the Open Studios artists and collect your copy of this year's Open Studios Directory of artists, exhibitions and workshops. Encaustic art Demonstrations in creative art using warmed wax. Trinity School Student drama showcase. As a performing arts specialist school Trinity school and Performing Arts College bring not only skill but a great deal of enthusiasm to their presentations - 1:00pm in the demonstration tent.
