Building on the huge success of last year's Fringe we put together an even bigger and more exciting programme for 2006. In addition to the usual Sunday of family arts and crafts this year saw an extra full day of music at the Bandstand in Victoria Park.
On Sunday it was Theatre, poetry and song at the Library, and Gail Hendrickx and Friends play jazz at the Corn Exchange. Once again the Kennet Shopping Centre played host to an exciting programme of dance.
Visitors were able to learn how to make music in Desmoulin Gallery and in the Park. All this and a great programme of arts and crafts workshops in Victoria Park and the Parisian style Art on the Park.
Music in the Park - Acoustic. the programme and the bands were the ones you asked to appear at the festival, plus a few treats and surprises.
On Monday due the increasing popularity of the Fringe's Music in the Park programme an extra day was presented with yet another cracking punk, rock and pop line-up.
