Art on the Park
Newbury's unique showcase of original work by local artists and craftspeople.

Newbury's unique showcase of original work by local artists and craftspeople.
10am - 4pm Sunday 28th May accompanied by live music from the Bandstand.
Also Sunday 27th August 2006 - accompanied by East Woodhay Silver Band.
Come and enjoy the talent of our local artists and craftspeople - original paintings (both framed and just mounted), also prints, plus handmade jewellery, pottery, woodwork and unique knitwear. All displayed on the railings of Victoria Park along Park Way. You'll find the atmosphere very lively and informal, with no obligation to buy at all.
This is as much a show and social occasion for art lovers as a sale - so browse at leisure, chat to artists and appreciate the talent on display. You will be pleasantly surprised at how low prices are! New commissions can also be discussed with artists whose style of work has special appeal. There is no better opportunity to pick up a piece of original art at low, low prices - here the artists do not have the higher overheads of renting gallery space.
Now in its 9th year, this Parisian style outdoor exhibition attracts established local professional artists as well as amateur painters. It is also an opportunity for talented post graduates to get a public reaction to their work and to get to know the community of local artists.
For the first time this year, the WASP group of painters will have a double pitch. This group of experienced local artists meets on Wednesday afternoons at Highclere village hall and they will be showing the very best of their recent paintings.
