Junior Actor competition
Are there any budding actors out there? Come and show your acting skills with a piece of your choice.
Venue
Sunday 27 May 1pm, Town Hall, Council Chamber.
Judges will be looking for:

Competition rules
- Competitors must be attending primary school at the time of the competition (i.e. 7-11yrs)
- Competitors may act a solo piece of drama with actions and speech of up to three and a half minutes
- Competitors may choose their own piece, which may be sourced from a play, prose, poem, audition piece or from any other text. It may be written by themselves
- Props and costume may be used, but are not compulsory. A table and chairs will be available for use at the venue. Any additional props or costumes must be provided by the competitors and taken away after use
- Material used must be non offensive regarding subject matter and language
- Three judges and a small rolling audience will watch the performances
- Winners of all competitions will be decided on the day and awarded their trophies on the Victoria Park bandstand at 5pm
- Neither West Berkshire Council nor Newbury Fringe Festival will take responsibility for the supervision of competitors. Parents and guardians may accompany their children and be part of the small rolling audience
