Sketching competition
There'll be loads to sketch in the park: music, crafts, food, dancing...the choice will be yours.

Competition rules
- Competitors may be aged 7-18yrs at the time of the competition
- Competitors will meet their judges in the Art Competition Tent in Victoria Park where there will be a workshop brief on their task. They will be given guidance on how best to complete it
- The competitors' task will be to sketch their interpretation of 'Festival in the Park'. To do this they may use any medium.
- Competitors' work must be their own
- Sketching paper, pencils, charcoals and resting board will be provided for all competitors
- If competitors choose to work in a particular medium, they are welcome to bring their own materials, e.g. water colours, collage materials, etc.
- Competitors will be directed to activities only within the confines of Victoria Park to sketch their interpretations
- Competition entries will be displayed in the tent for public viewing as they are completed
- Winners of all competitions will be decided on the day and awarded their trophies and prizes at 5pm on the bandstand in Victoria Park
- Neither West Berkshire Council nor Newbury Fringe Festival will take responsibility for the supervision of competitors. Victoria Park will be very busy with many attractions taking place in and around tents and on the bandstand. Parents and guardians are advised to accompany their young children at all times
