Mayor and Mayoress of Newbury being shown the intricacies of Morris dancing

This image, by Evelyn Forsey, of the new Mayor and Mayoress of Newbury being shown the intricacies of Morris dancing at the Newbury Fringe Festival is one of 70 now showing in the Fringe website photo gallery.

At the start of the festival Newbury Mayor Adrian Edwards and Mayoress Mrs Edwina Cooper were taken through some of the finer points of the centuries old art of Morris Dancing. The Icknield Way Morris Men were dancing outside the library at the start of their Fringe Festival Tour. They took the opportunity to give the Mayor and Mayoress a quick lesson in dancing before moving off to tour residential homes around Newbury, taking the festival to people who couldn't get into Newbury to see The Fringe.
